She was considered the most flawless studio soprano for more than fifty years in the entertainment industry and her voice was heard around the world, most famously for the wordless Star Trek television theme and “The Lion Sleeps Tonight,” although she had a wide-ranging career, spanning television, the movies and Disney theme parks.
She sang with greats such as Frank Sinatra,Henry Mancini, Ray Charles, Dean Martin, Bing Crosby and Elvis Presley.
She was a regular on the Dean Martin show, the Carol Burnett show, and the Dinah Shore show, where she sang and also acted in skits.
